Core competences 
Health care assistant is a qualified and capable person which must be able to assist the nurse and work under his/her responsibility as part of of the team's activities.
Must be able to help maintain or deliver the most comfort and autonomy to anybody having health troubles in a broad sense.
To inform the patient about the terms of stay in the service, to monitor the general health status of the patient, distribute food and medicines, to inform nurses about the irregular conditions of the patient.
To provide body hygiene, comfort and prevention care to the patient, to measure the vital parameters of the patient, to control the medical devices and equipments and give the information to the nurse.

Description of the procedure for the validation of prior learning 

The beneficiary must demonstrate to the further education department what are the competences acquired during his/her curriculum in order to be exempt of some training modules.   

Documents needed 
  • Copy of the last diplomas,
  • Extract of criminal record,
  • Copies of your ID card, passport, residence permit
  • If you are a job seeker: certificate of registration as job seeker or certificat from your local public social help center (CPAS)
