Methods of verification of professional skills
Certification
In the process of counselling, the candidate prepares a personal collection folder evaluated by the commission, and if the candidate has provided credible, valid and relevant evidence of skills, competencies and professional standards, the commission may:
- recognize the contents of the professional standard as a whole,
- recognize the content of the professional standard in part and determine the knowledge, skills and competences it will verify,
- does not recognize any content of a professional standard because the candidate does not demonstrate any skills, competences and professional standards, and will verify, mutatis mutandis, the entire professional standard.
Verification mode - service and defense
In the practical demonstration of the service, the candidate demonstrates the control of the required professional competencies according to the requirements of the professional standard and with due regard to the prescribed documentation. Practical presentation of the service also provides an oral defense of the performed service, which includes checking the knowledge in accordance with the professional standard Turistični informator / tourist informer.
The NPK Verification and Certification Commission, which is determined by the National Examination Center, will, after reviewing the personal aggregates, decide whether to confirm to the candidate a personal collection folder as appropriate for obtaining a certificate for NPK or to deploy the candidate for practical verification.
CATALOG OF PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Your personal collection folder should include:
- Certificate - original and copy,
- Curriculum vitae Europass,
- a document showing the possible change in the surname,
- a medical certificate that you are able to perform such work (the certificate can be issued to you by a personal physician or by a medical examination),
- evidence:
- work experience (workbook, work contract, reference letters, employer's statement ...),
- evidence of training (certificates of participation, certificates, diplomas, certificates ...),
- references (customer reference, employer ...), product photos, etc.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS TO BE FULFILLED BY THE PERSON WHO WANT TO OBTAIN PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
Minimum secondary education or secondary professional education and at least 1 year of work experience in the field of tourism, as evidenced by the employment contracts, other employment contracts and employer reference letters; and Knowledge of foreign languages:
1.) English - knowledge at a level comparable to B1
(which is demonstrated by the candidate with a final certificate of secondary general education for a subject in English or a completed English or an English language examination at least B1 level with a second certified peer certificate for a level of at least B1 with a certificate of successful completion of at least elementary education where the lesson is conducted in English issued in Slovenia or abroad)
2.) Foreign language - by choice, knowledge at level comparable to B1
(which the candidate proves by the final certificate of secondary general education for the chosen foreign language or a completed general or vocational matura from the chosen language at a level of at least B1 or with another validate certificate for a level of at least B1 or with a certificate of successful completion of at least basic education where instruction performed in the selected language or for a selected object issued in Slovenia or abroad)
