Core competences 
Define and plan the phases of the operations to be carried out, in compliance with safety regulations, on the basis of the instructions received, the supporting documentation (diagrams, drawings, procedures, bills of materials) and the system of relations.
Prepare, monitor and take care of the ordinary maintenance of tools, utensils, equipment and machinery necessary for the various work/service phases on the basis of the type of materials to be used, the indications/procedures provided and the expected res.
Work in safety and in compliance with hygiene and environmental protection rules, identifying and preventing risk situations for oneself, others and the environment.
Verify, by carrying out measurements and controls, the conformity and adequacy of the mechanical work carried out, in relation to design, quality and safety standards.

Description of the procedure for the validation of prior learning 

As part of specific projects, it is possible to request recognition of skills acquired in non-formal and informal contexts. Following this procedure, it is possible to take a professional qualification exam at an accredited vocational training center that provides this type of path.

This certification can allow to obtain recognition of entry credits also for the professional qualification path of Mechanical Operator (see attached sheet), for which the process of recognition of skills acquired in non-formal and informal contexts is not however foreseen.

Documents needed 

- certificates of attendance at specific short courses

- certificates of previous work experience

previous employment contracts

- declarations and references from employers and / or private individuals for whom a similar activity has been carried out (including voluntary work)

- self-certifications

Contact point 

In order to obtain the credits and to achieve the qualification, it is necessary to contact a Regional Training Agency. This agency must be part of the network of training structures authorized by the Region for the certification of competences. In this specific case, it will provide a regional path for the Mechanical Operator qualification.

Duration: 
12-20 hours plus the time foreseen for the examination
Cost: 
No contribution is required if the process is part of a public program for continuing education or social inclusion. Otherwise the cost is defined by the specific training agency.

Description of the procedure to participate to a training course 

This type of training courses is aimed at adults and/or young people who already have a diploma. They are funded by regional authorities through ESF.
