Candidates will be able to:.
Autonomously plan, prepare and oversee their own work and the work of a group in accordance with quality standards in catering work.
Make responsible and economical use of raw materials, equipment, energy and time in preparing and serving beverages.
Maintain personal hygiene and a hygienic working environment and diligently attend to the implementation of HACCP regulations in beverage preparation and service.
In the course of their work communicate independently with guests in Slovene and two foreign languages, observing the principles of successful communication.
Independently advise guests on the selection of drinks and beverages using technical terminology in Slovene and two foreign languages and applying the skills of a good salesperson.
Autonomously prepare and serve mixed bar drinks in accordance with work quality standards and the rules of the profession.
Autonomously serve spirits, liqueurs, wines, aromatised wines, sparkling wines, beers.
Autonomously serve non-alcoholic drinks and hot and cold beverages.
Autonomously serve snacks, desserts and tobacco products.
Autonomously prepare and clean the bar and accessories.
How can the certification be obtained? 
Validation of prior learning
Description of the procedure for the validation of prior learning 

1. Candidate application

2.Advising/counseling the candidate and preparing his collection folder - a portfolio (CV, certificates, proofs, certificates, reference letters, acknowledgments)

3.Verification and validation of NPK

 

Verification and assessment are carried out by committees for the verification and validation of NVQs appointed by the National Examination Centre (NEC). Committee members must be licensed by the National Examination Centre.

Admission requirements

  • At least a secondary vocational qualification in the catering field and at least two years' work experience in the bartending field, which the candidate must prove by means of a letter of reference from an employer or a contract of employment, or
  • at least a secondary vocational qualification and at least three years' work experience in the bartending field, which the candidate must prove by means of a letter of reference from an employer or a contract of employment.

2. Personal portfolio - collection folder-provides a summary of the individual's qualifications achieved in learning (formal, non-formal, informal) or experience (work, life). In the examination and validation of national vocational qualifications, the documents on candidates' achievements in learning, working and other experiences, acquired competences and qualifications are systematically regulated according to the professional standard and the professional standards of professional skills. The personal collection folder in the process of verification and validation of the NPK serves as an instrument on the basis of which the commission creates an image of the candidate, his work experience and education and training, and this should always have the advisor and the candidate always in mind when the candidate's aggregate map is created.

It can last from six months up to one year, depending on the relevant evidence each candidate provides.
Cost: 
EUR 160.00 (obtaining a certificate based on the examination of the candidate's personal folder) or EUR 224.00 (obtaining a NPK certificate on the basis of a review of the candidate's personal folder and practical examination).
